I'm Ronautta Wilson - A Little About Me ...
I am passionate about encouraging those around me. Whether teaching, performing or just chatting with a friend, I like to find a way to connect and to leave those I interact with in a better place, a better mood, more productive, or having learned something new.
My two college-age sons sometimes got tired of Mom turning EVERYTHING into a teachable moment! But I love to be a blessing to others, however I can!
My experiences on the mission fields where I served have greatly influenced both my music and my outlook on life. The things I learned have stayed with me for a lifetime. Being able to see the world through another culture's perspective is priceless.
And unique music is at the heart of every culture!
I grew up in a musical family. As a youngster, my father was a music professor at a university. I started piano lessons at the age of eight.
During High School and College, my sister and I sang with our Dad, traveling and speaking in churches and Christian meetings.
After graduating with a music degree in voice, I attended Christ For The Nations Institute, where I also taught piano.
Later on, I served as the Music Director for Caribbean Christ for the Nations in Jamaica. The school at that time was a branch campus of CFNI here in Dallas.
The next part of my journey led me to Mercy Ships, a ministry operating (you guessed it!) on ships. I served on the Caribbean Mercy Ship. While with Mercy Ships, I visited several Central American countries.
